The Infant/Toddler Program

 

The LHLC program offers two different classrooms for this age group and the children are group by age levels. Our infant program is for children six weeks to 15 months and the classroom has a 4:1 child to teacher ratio. Our Toddler Program is for children 15 months to 23 months and offers a 5:1 child to teacher ratio.

 

The LHLC Infant and Toddler programs provide a safe, happy and nurturing atmosphere and introduces the child to healthy and social emotional interaction, language acquisition, body awareness and motor control. Each child will experience a loving, stable and nurturing relationship in a supportive environment that promotes their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive developmental while also focusing on the following traditional curriculum topics and incorporated advanced academics.

Infants and toddlers are taken to the park (when the weather permits) and can also utilize an indoor place space located onsite at the center.  The infants, toddlers and family member chaperone may also participate in the field trips designed for this age group throughout the year. Field Trip participation is not mandatory and school is still in session for students and families that do not attend.

Two Year Old

 

The LHLC Two Year old program provides a safe, happy and nurturing atmosphere and introduces the child to healthy and social emotional interaction, language acquisition, body awareness and motor control. Each Child will experience a loving, stable and nurturing relationship in a supportive environment that promotes their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive developmental while also focusing on the following accelerated curriculum:

 

NOTE: Curriculum is individualized for each student and the classroom is broken into 2 or 3 different level groups (Beginning, Middle &/Or Advanced) for Math, Reading and Writing when necessary.

The LHLC Two Year old students participate in High Touch High Tech Science Program, utilize technology including the smartboard, computers and tablets, and participate in the Fine Arts Program which includes dance class, music class and the end of year on stage production. The children also participate in field trips designed for this age group throughout the school year and they have time to play in the indoor play space area onsite at the school or park daily (weather permit).
